Unfortunately I was really let down by the Barn surgery on numerous occasions. I had a very serious illness (cancer) and was never contacted or seen by the doctor throughout my treatment - not even a phone all, I was not issued with drugs prescribed by my oncologist until I followed it up, not to mention my experience during my diagnosis. Suffice to say I have now left this surgery & moved elsewhere. Dealing with cancer is hard enough without losing all confidence in your GP.

I cannot express my gratitude and appreciatIive of the staff on the reception,nursing staff and doctor's at this surgery. Whilst on holiday Spanish medical team required specific and detailed medical information from the medical staff in the UK before my treatment and repatriation could go ahead. Being unwell and imobile I had to put my trust in the staff at Barn Surgery to respond to the insurance/ medical team to being this process. The staff at the Barn Surgery acted in a prompt and professional way,which made me feel supported and valued. Once back in the UK the very best care continued from the Barn Surgery.

Carolyn, the Diabetic Nurse is excellent - she has been an inspiration and helped in every way, from the very beginning, we could not recommend her more highly. If only there were more people like this, who made you feel a 'person' and not just 'a name'. It would be nice to pre-book appointments with Dr Farrer, which is only possible by phoning in on a Thursday when the next day booking is open, or trying your luck during the week if you phone on the day. Receptionists are generally helpful, depending on who you get, but I guess we all get our 'off days' which is not helpful if you are feeling unwell.

Having recently moved to Ferring from S.E London. I am delighted to have found such an excellent practice. It is relatively simple to get an appointment. All the reception staff are truly helpful and considerate and "human", yet efficient. This is such a vast contrast from the rude, abrupt and unhelpful service we often received from those working our previous nine-doctor medical centre. I've had to see the nurse recently who has been so knowledgeable and good at her job. It makes a visit to the surgery a pleasant experience. It seems as if they really care a bout heir patients and the community. I sincerely hope that this will always be the case.
